Sharded is a decentralized AI project that utilizes libp2p and a Large Language Model (LLM) to split AI runtime into decentralized nodes. This approach allows anyone to contribute and become a node, running the LLM model using Llama (for now we using the open source Llama, but we plan to build an uncensored custom model with the sharded community) without the need for heavy computational resources.
Sharded leverages libp2p, a modular network stack, to establish peer-to-peer connections between nodes. Each node hosts a portion of the LLM model, and tasks are distributed across the network for parallel processing. This decentralized architecture ensures scalability, fault tolerance, and accessibility. By combining the power of LLM with the efficiency of libp2p and GPU.js for GPU acceleration, Sharded enables efficient and secure AI processing.
LLM stands for Large Language Model, a type of artificial intelligence model capable of understanding and generating human-like text. Llama is the runtime environment optimized for running LLM models in a decentralized manner, enabling efficient utilization of resources across the Sharded network
Contributing to Sharded is open to anyone interested in participating in decentralized AI. You can become a node by installing the Sharded Node library using our SDK written in JS, which allows you to host a portion of the LLM model and contribute to processing tasks. Joining the network as a node enables you to earn incentives for your computational contributions.

In the future, becoming a sharded nodes operator will be rewarded by token which currently circulate on the ecosystem, this governance schema will make sure the availability of nodes to run the network.
